TYPES OF DATA BEING PROCESSED
The IT systems and software processes which make this website work gather, during their usual work, some personal data the transmission of which is implicit when using internet communication protocols. These data are not collected to identify specific individuals, however, because of their nature, they might enable users to be identified thanks to elaborations and associations with data held by third parties. Within this category fall IP addresses or the domain names of the computers used by the users accessing the website, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources being requested, the time of the request, the method used to request the information from the server, the size of the file obtained, the numerical code which indicates the status of the answer given by the server (success, error, etc.) and other data linked to the operating system and the IT environment of the user.
These data are only used to obtain anonymous statistical information on website usage and to check it is functioning correctly and are deleted as soon as they have been processed. Data could be used to verify responsibility in case of hypothetical IT crimes towards the website: apart from this possibility, data on web contacts do not persist for longer than 2 years.
DATA HANDED OVER VOLUNTARILY BY THE USER
E-mail: optionally, explicitly and voluntarily sending an e-mail to the addresses given on this website means that the sender’s address becomes known by the receiver, which is necessary to then respond to requests. Other personal data included in the e-mail also become known to the receiver.
Collecting personal data offline: in case GRANULATI ITALIA collects personal data offline (for example, paper forms), at the same time a notice is provided regarding data processing and the consent of the individual is then sought when necessary; this also applies when data collection happens on forms downloaded from the www.gelatitalia.it website (the notice on data processing is repeated on these forms).

GRANULATI ITALIA accesses data in only two occasions:
- To provide services and, in particular, to optimise client assistance when they contact GRANULATI ITALIA Support services. In this case, data access remains monitored thanks to specific authorisations and specific monitoring and security measures;
- To fulfil the legal obligations when asked to by the courts or the administration, subject to rigorous checks. These requests are rigorously checked.
Access in the case of work carried out by GRANULATI ITALIA Support:

On one hand, to better deal with the client’s request, Support accesses the user information provided when creating their GRANULATI ITALIA personal account (surname, name, phone number, e-mail address, etc).
On the other hand, only when explicitly requested by the client, and subject to the technical constraints of each service, Support can have access to the data archived by the user on the GRANULATI ITALIA services, in order to identify the source of the problem and solve it.
